Snead Style 3 Shallow Water Diving Helmet
Restored 1936 Model Willis Diving Helmet, more commonly known as the “Snead Style 3 Shallow Water Diving Helmet”, produced by the E. J. Willis Co. of New York and manufactured by Snead & Co. iron works in Jersey City, NJ. Production of this 62 lb shallow water helmet, made of corrosion-resistant Durum Iron finished in enamel, ran from 1936 to 1955.
This helmet was sandblasted and repainted in the original aluminum color. The window was replaced, and the air inlet fitting includes an additional adaptor.
